St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Alakode was founded in 1996 to provide an all-around education to all sections of society, regardless of caste, creed or general social status. This school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The students are prepared for the AISSE/ AISSC Examination (All India Secondary School Examination at the class 10 level/ All India Secondary School Certificate Examination at the +2 level). The school is managed by the sisters of the Congregation of Jesus in collaboration with a dedicated and competent staff.
We aim at developing in our students an awareness of God’s love, care, and concern through which they find meaning in life and hope for the future. We seek to form thoroughly educated men and women, who motivated by genuine love and spirit of service and are alive to instill in our students, strong, personal convictions, and right values to motivate their actions. To achieve this, we seek to form in them a right conscience to their relation to God and the fellow- men, with a thirst for truth, a sense of social justice, genuine concern for others and obedience to lawful authority according to the Charism of our Foundress Venerable Mary Ward and the Spirituality of St. Ignatius. We have interactive classrooms facilitating multimedia approach to learning using DLP and Interactive Boards. For the holistic development of the children, we provide co-curricular activities such as skating, dance, Zumba Dance, classical dance, Basketball, Football, volleyball, violin keyboard etc.
